From the worlds finest file makers come these precision Flat Hand Files by Vallorbe in Switzerland. Sometimes referred to as a 'Pillar' file, these are widely used by jewellers for filing a multitude of surfaces, and are an essential part of a jewellery beginners kit.

The Vallorbe Swiss made hand file is probably one of the most useful general, daily purpose files due to its one safe edge (meaning there are three sides with abrasive and one without). They will provide a smooth surface on precious metal. Work in one direction and use in a push action, filing gently away from you in one direction.
