This is a set of 9 silicon carbide grit, Soft Touch Sanding Pads by Micromesh. The handy-sized square sanding pads will produce a mirror finish for many applications and are used by polymer clay bead jewellers, wood turners, pen turners, musical instrument makers, furniture restorers, and model makers and for small projects on woods, Vulcanite, acrylics, resin, paint, plastics, most metals and polymer clay.

The Micromesh sanding pads can be used wet or dry, but to preserve the pad's life, use wet with just a little pressure and dry thoroughly after use. Work your way through the grades to produce a smooth surface with a high-gloss finish.

Each 50mm x 50mm (2" x 2") sanding pad is colour-coded and double-sided, so you can use both sides. Washing them after each use makes them reusable.

The kit contains a reference card and one Micro-Mesh square of each of the following grits: 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000 & 12000. 

The sanding pads are flexible and can therefore be manipulated and used folded up if required for use on smaller projects.

Description

Micro-Mesh sanding pads feature silicone carbide grit that you will find lasts longer than other sanding products. This is due to the construction of the abrasive, which prevents the abrasive crystals from fracturing and overheating.

Helpful Note: Sand to a uniform level first then begin by using the 1500 grit and work your way through the grades to 12000.
