These precision Flat Hand Files by Vallorbe in Switzerland come from the world's finest file makers. Sometimes referred to as a 'Pillar' file, jewellers widely use these for finishing many flat surfaces and are an essential part of a jewellery beginner's kit.

  • Width: 12.5 x 3mm thickness
  • Cut 4 (46 teeth per cm) Fine grade

The Vallorbe Swiss made hand file is probably one of the most useful general, daily purpose files due to its one safe edge (meaning there are three sides with abrasive and one without). They will provide a smooth surface on precious metal. Work in one direction and use in a push action, filing gently away from you in one direction.
