6mm Tungsten Carbide Round Nose Cylinder Burr – 2.35mm Shank

6mm Tungsten Carbide Round Nose Cylinder Burr – 2.35mm Shank

Eternal Tools

SKU:6TCB235RNC

This 6mm Tungsten Carbide Round Nose Cylinder Burr (Shape C) combines straight sides with a rounded cutting end for versatile shaping and controlled material removal.

The cylindrical sides are useful for levelling surfaces and working along straight edges, while the rounded nose can shape concave surfaces, blend internal curves and produce radiused corners without creating a sharp internal angle.

Its double-cut flute pattern provides efficient stock removal with improved control and a smoother finish. The 2.35mm (3/32") shank fits many Dremel and similar rotary tools, micromotors, pendant motors and flexible shaft systems fitted with an appropriate chuck or collet.

  • 6mm round nose cylinder cutting head
  • 14mm cutting head length
  • Double cut for efficient, controlled material removal
  • Ideal for flat surfaces, concave curves and rounded corners
  • Useful for blending internal contours
  • 2.35mm (3/32") shank

Description

What is a round nose cylinder burr used for?

The combination of straight sides and a rounded cutting end makes this a versatile shape for:

  • Shaping and levelling flat surfaces
  • Working along straight edges
  • Shaping concave and curved surfaces
  • Creating and refining rounded internal corners
  • Blending internal contours and radiused edges
  • Working inside rounded slots and openings
  • Deburring holes and difficult-to-reach edges
  • Smoothing welds and removing excess metal

The straight sides can remove material across flat surfaces, while the rounded end follows curves and produces a smooth internal radius. Unlike a flat-ended cylinder burr, it will not produce a sharply defined right-angled corner.

Double-cut flutes

The crossed double-cut flute pattern breaks removed material into smaller chips, providing controlled cutting and efficient stock removal. It is well suited to general shaping, levelling, deburring and cleaning up metal components.

Suitable materials

  • Mild and hardened steels
  • Stainless steel
  • Cast iron and cast steel
  • Nickel-based alloys
  • Titanium and other hard metals

For aluminium, copper, brass and other softer non-ferrous metals, an open-fluted burr designed specifically for non-ferrous materials may resist clogging more effectively.

Will it fit my rotary tool?

This burr has a 2.35mm (3/32") shank. It can be used in Dremel and similar rotary tools fitted with a suitable 2.35mm collet or adjustable chuck. It is also compatible with many micromotors, pendant motors and flexible shaft systems that accept 2.35mm accessories.

If using a Dremel, an adjustable Dremel Multi-Chuck is usually the most convenient option.

How to use

  • Secure the shank firmly and as deeply as practical inside the collet or chuck.
  • Start the rotary tool before bringing the burr into contact with the workpiece.
  • Use the straight sides for levelling surfaces and working along straight edges.
  • Use the rounded nose for shaping concave surfaces and blending curved internal contours.
  • Use light, controlled movements and allow the flutes to cut.
  • Do not force, lever or twist the burr sideways.
  • Keep the burr moving to avoid excessive localised heat.
  • Wear suitable eye protection.

Tungsten carbide is extremely hard but can be brittle. Excessive pressure, impacts, chatter or sideways leverage may damage the cutting head or shank.
