Eternal Tools
SKU:6TCB235INV
- 6mm inverted-cone tungsten carbide cutting head
- 2.35mm (3/32") shank for compatible rotary tools and flex shafts
- Double-cut flutes for controlled, efficient metal removal
- Ideal for undercuts, reverse-side edges, chamfering and deburring
- Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron and other hard metals
- 50mm overall length
This 6mm inverted-cone tungsten carbide burr widens away from the shank, allowing it to work beneath edges and inside reverse-angled areas that are difficult to reach with an ordinary cone or cylindrical burr.
The 2.35mm (3/32") shank is suitable for compatible Dremel and hobby rotary tools, micromotors and flexible shaft systems fitted with the correct collet or adjustable chuck.

Description
Description
What is an inverted cone burr used for?
The inverted-cone profile is particularly useful for:
- Working on hard-to-reach reverse-side edges
- Creating undercuts and recessed profiles
- Cutting back-chamfers inside holes and openings
- Deburring the rear edges of drilled holes
- Widening the base of grooves and recesses
- Shaping dovetail-style or reverse-angled sections
- Detailed edge work and controlled metal removal
Unlike a standard cone burr, which becomes narrower towards its working tip, this shape becomes wider. This enables the outer edge of the head to reach behind an opening or overhanging edge.
Double-cut flutes
The crossed double-cut flute pattern divides the removed material into smaller chips, helping to provide controlled cutting and efficient stock removal on harder metals.
Suitable materials
- Mild and hardened steels
- Stainless steel
- Cast iron and cast steel
- Nickel-based alloys
- Titanium and other hard metals
For aluminium, copper, brass and other softer non-ferrous metals, an open-fluted burr designed specifically for non-ferrous materials may resist clogging more effectively.
Will it fit my rotary tool?
This burr has a 2.35mm (3/32") shank. It can be used in Dremel and similar rotary tools fitted with a suitable 2.35mm collet or adjustable chuck. It is also compatible with many micromotors, pendant motors and flexible shaft systems that accept 2.35mm accessories.
If using a Dremel, an adjustable Dremel Multi-Chuck is usually the most convenient option.
How to use
- Secure the shank firmly and as deeply as practical in the collet or chuck.
- Start the rotary tool before bringing the burr into contact with the workpiece.
- Use light, controlled movements and allow the flutes to cut.
- Take particular care when introducing the wider end beneath an edge.
- Do not force, lever or twist the burr sideways.
- Wear suitable eye protection.
Tungsten carbide is extremely hard but can be brittle. Excessive pressure, impacts, chatter or sideways leverage may damage the cutting head or shank.
