6mm Tungsten Carbide Cylinder Burr with End Cut – 2.35mm Shank
Eternal Tools
SKU:6TCB235CEC
This 6mm Tungsten Carbide Cylinder Burr (Shape B) has a flat end cut and a double-cut flute pattern for controlled, efficient material removal.
The straight sides are ideal for shaping flat surfaces, straight edges and right-angled corners. Cutting teeth across the end of the head allow the burr to cut into the workpiece, flatten the bottom of recesses and work in areas that cannot be reached with the sides alone.
Its 2.35mm (3/32") shank makes it suitable for many Dremel and similar rotary tools, micromotors, pendant motors and flexible shaft systems fitted with an appropriate chuck or collet.

Description
Description
What is a cylinder burr with an end cut used for?
The combination of straight sides and cutting teeth across the flat end makes this a versatile shape for:
- Shaping and levelling flat surfaces
- Working along straight edges
- Creating and refining right-angled corners
- Flattening the bottoms of recesses
- Opening up and enlarging existing holes
- Removing material from confined areas
- Deburring edges and openings
- Smoothing welds and removing excess metal
Unlike a plain-end cylinder burr, the end cut allows the tip to remove material when it is brought directly into contact with the workpiece. This is useful for starting recesses, producing flatter-bottomed areas and working where the sides of the burr cannot make contact.
Although the end can cut into the material, this burr is intended for controlled material removal rather than drilling deep holes.
Double-cut flutes
The crossed double-cut flute pattern breaks removed material into smaller chips, providing controlled cutting and efficient stock removal. It is well suited to general shaping, levelling, deburring and cleaning up metal components.
Suitable materials
- Mild and hardened steels
- Stainless steel
- Cast iron and cast steel
- Nickel-based alloys
- Titanium and other hard metals
For aluminium, copper, brass and other softer non-ferrous metals, an open-fluted burr designed specifically for non-ferrous materials may resist clogging more effectively.
Will it fit my rotary tool?
This burr has a 2.35mm (3/32") shank. It can be used in Dremel and similar rotary tools fitted with a suitable 2.35mm collet or adjustable chuck. It is also compatible with many micromotors, pendant motors and flexible shaft systems that accept 2.35mm accessories.
If using a Dremel, an adjustable Dremel Multi-Chuck is usually the most convenient option.
How to use
- Secure the shank firmly and as deeply as practical inside the collet or chuck.
- Start the rotary tool before bringing the burr into contact with the workpiece.
- Use the sides of the head for shaping flat surfaces and straight edges.
- Use the end cut with light pressure when flattening recesses or cutting directly into the surface.
- Use light, controlled movements and allow the flutes to cut.
- Do not force, lever or twist the burr sideways.
- Keep the burr moving to avoid excessive localised heat.
- Wear suitable eye protection.
Tungsten carbide is extremely hard but can be brittle. Excessive pressure, impacts, chatter or sideways leverage may damage the cutting head or shank.
