6mm Tungsten Carbide Bullet Burr – 2.35mm Shank

6mm Tungsten Carbide Bullet Burr – 2.35mm Shank

Eternal Tools

SKU:6TCB235BU

  • 6mm bullet-shaped tungsten carbide cutting head
  • 2.35mm (3/32") shank for compatible rotary tools and flex shafts
  • Double-cut flutes for controlled, efficient material removal
  • Ideal for shaping curved surfaces, rounding, chamfering and deburring
  • Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron and other hard metals
  • 50mm overall length

This 6mm bullet-shaped tungsten carbide burr combines a substantial cutting head with a slim 2.35mm (3/32") shank, making it ideal for detailed metalworking with a compatible Dremel, hobby rotary tool, micromotor or flexible shaft.

The rounded bullet profile is particularly useful when working on curves, contours, shaped surfaces and chamfered edges. Its tapered sides allow you to move between broader shaping and more controlled work around narrower or difficult-to-reach areas.

Description

What is the bullet shape used for?

The bullet-shaped head is a versatile choice for:

  • Shaping and blending curved or contoured surfaces
  • Rounding and smoothing internal edges
  • Creating and refining chamfers
  • Deburring holes, openings and shaped components
  • Removing material from confined or awkward areas
  • Smoothing welds and cleaning up cast or machined parts

Engineering manufacturer Tyrolit specifically recommends bullet-shaped carbide burrs for machining roundings, shaped surfaces and chamfers.

Double-cut flutes

The crossed double-cut flute pattern divides the material into smaller chips, helping the burr cut in a more controlled manner than a comparable single-cut burr. It is suitable for general shaping, deburring and material removal in ferrous and harder metals.

Double-cut carbide burrs are commonly used on steel, cast steel, stainless steel, cast iron, nickel alloys and titanium alloys.

Materials

Suitable for use on:

  • Mild and hardened steels
  • Stainless steel
  • Cast iron
  • Cast steel
  • Nickel-based alloys
  • Titanium and other hard metals

Please note: For aluminium, copper, brass and other softer non-ferrous metals, a more open-fluted burr specifically designed for non-ferrous materials may resist clogging more effectively.

Will it fit my rotary tool?

The burr has a 2.35mm (3/32") shank. It can be used in Dremel and similar rotary tools provided that the tool is fitted with a suitable 2.35mm collet or adjustable chuck. It is also suitable for many micromotors, pendant motors and flexible shaft systems that accept 2.35mm accessories.

If using a Dremel, an adjustable Dremel Multi-Chuck is usually the most convenient option.

How to use a tungsten carbide burr

  • Secure as much of the shank as practical inside the collet or chuck.
  • Start the rotary tool before bringing the burr into contact with the workpiece.
  • Use light, controlled movements and allow the cutting flutes to do the work.
  • Do not force, lever or twist the burr sideways.
  • Keep the burr moving to avoid excessive heat in one area.
  • Wear suitable eye protection and observe the speed guidance for your rotary tool.

Carbide is extremely hard but can be brittle. Excessive pressure, chatter, impacts or using the burr as a lever may damage the cutting head or shank.
