3mm Tungsten Carbide Pointed Tree Burr – Single Cut

3mm Tungsten Carbide Pointed Tree Burr – Single Cut

Eternal Tools

SKU:3TCBPTS9910

This 3mm single-cut tungsten carbide pointed tree burr has a tapered, spear-point profile for controlled carving, shaping and material removal in confined or detailed areas.

The combination of tapered sides and a narrow tip makes it useful for opening out slots, refining internal contours, working in narrow recesses and creating tapered or concave cuts. The tip can reach areas that a cylindrical burr cannot, while the wider part of the head can remove material and blend the surrounding surface.

Similar in shape and application to the Dremel 9910 spear-tip tungsten carbide cutter.

Its single-cut flutes are particularly suited to hard and ferrous materials, producing controlled cutting action and a more pronounced surface finish than a double-cut burr.

  • 3mm diameter cutting head
  • 13mm cutting length
  • 3mm shank (1/8")
  • Single cut
  • Pointed tree shape
  • Solid tungsten carbide

Suitable for carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, hardened steel, plastics and wood.

Use with a rotary tool, flexible shaft or micro motor fitted with a chuck or collet that accepts a 3mm shank.

Description

What is a pointed tree carbide burr used for?

The tapered sides and narrow spear-point tip make this burr useful for:

  • Shaping and refining narrow recesses
  • Working inside slots and openings
  • Creating tapered and concave cuts
  • Blending internal contours
  • Deburring difficult-to-reach edges
  • Opening out and enlarging holes gradually
  • Detailed carving and controlled material removal

Use the narrow tip for detailed work and confined areas. The wider sides of the cutting head can be used to remove more material and blend the surrounding surface.

How to use your carbide burr

  • Secure the workpiece before beginning.
  • Make sure the shank is held securely in the chuck or collet.
  • Bring the burr up to speed before making contact with the material.
  • Begin with light pressure and allow the cutting edges to do the work.
  • Use smooth, controlled movements and keep the burr moving across the surface.
  • Avoid excessive pressure or sideways leverage, particularly when working with the narrow tip.
  • Wear suitable eye protection and respiratory protection where required.
