Dialux polishing compounds are trusted by professional jewellers, watchmakers, and metalsmiths for achieving a mirror-smooth, high-lustre finish on gold, silver, steel, and more. Made in Germany and stocked in the UK, these premium polishing bars are ideal for both rotary tools and bench polishers.

Each bar is uniformly blended with abrasive grit and requires only a small amount to be applied to a felt, cotton, goat hair or bristle brush, bob or wheel. These compounds are easy to clean up and perfect for polishing jewellery, tools, or watch components at home or in a workshop.

Dialux Polishing Compound Colour Guide:

Pre-Polish Bars:

• Grey (Gris) – For stainless steel and platinum. Removes heavy marks and scratches.
• Orange (Vornex) – Ideal for steel and all ferrous metals. Aggressive pre-polish.
• Yellow (Jaune) – For aluminium, copper, brass, tin, bronze, and plastics. Also works well as a pre-polish for gold and silver.

Polishing Bars:

• Blue (Bleu) – General-purpose polish for non-precious metals like brass and copper. Removes scratches and adds lustre.
• White (Blanc) – Final polish for silver, white gold, and plastics. Excellent on soft metals.

Final Mirror Polishing:

• Red (Rouge) – Traditional high-gloss finish for gold and silver. Similar to jeweller’s rouge.
• Green (Vert) – Designed for platinum, titanium, steel, chrome and cobalt chrome. Final polishing of hard metals.
• Black – Achieve a brilliant mirror finish on silver and Argentium silver. Excellent for final-stage buffing.

Tip: Use separate mops or buffs for each compound to avoid contamination. Clean your work between stages using warm, soapy water or an ultrasonic cleaner.
