How to use Diamond Donut Burrs:
Begin by drilling a small hole in your material with a Small Diamond Drill Bit (DDB1).
Keeping your speed low (12,000 RPM), and using little to no pressure, with plenty of cold water, begin grinding using the pre-drilled hole as a guide for the centre of your donut burr.
The two holes on the doughnut burr will enable the water to flow through the burr whilst you carve, keeping your material cool and preserving the life of your diamond bur.
Popular for use with Jade, Agate, Jasper, Obsidian, Tigers Eye, Lapis Lazuli, Crystal, Labradorite and turquoise to name but a few. You can use thread or wire with various bails and charms to create beautiful pendants, hooped earrings, wire-wrapped jewellery items, light pulls, key rings, and wind chimes.
We hope you have as much fun creating doughnut carvings as we have!
Always wear sufficient safety goggles and a face mask
