These brown rubber polishers are for smoothing, pre-polishing and creating a matt finish on all precious and non-precious metals. Also ideal as a subtle shading tool in glass engraving (Please see the below description for further information on this).
The 700# EVEFLEX Technik Burrs are made from synthetic rubber impregnated with a fine abrasive grit that is long lasting and useful in many applications. Mounted on a 2.35mm or 3/32" shank, 5mm in diameter tapering off to a point and 16mm in working length.
Ideal for use in your micro motor, pendant drill, high speed hand piece, flexible shaft or rotary tool such as a Dremel (you will need a 2.3mm collet or an adjustable chuck).
Please use a recommended speed of between 7,000-12,000 RPM

"The brown polishers were a great success with myself and my students and I think you will find they are very useful to the glass engraving fraternity" - Tracey Sheppard
"I found a lot of uses for it and am sure I will find many more. I was doing several pieces where I sandblasted and engraved the pieces, then fire-polished them and after taking them out of the kiln - highlighted areas with light blasting and brought out highlights with the black bullet and the brown bullet." - Susan Bloch. Glass Engraver.

Using these Brown Rubber bullet polishers in glass engraving will provide the perfect subtle shading tool. Use after the Mini Rubber Silicone Bullet polishers in black (MSPBB). The brown will give a slightly more subtle shading effect than the black. Alternatively, use after the grey rubber silicone polishers (GRSPB)
They will also help to smooth out White Arkansas stone burr (ASB1), or Green Silicon Carbide Stone Burr (SCB) marks leaving a texture of its own.
Helpful Tip: Sometimes you will find that you want to polish the top of an area without going into the cut you made with diamond burrs so that the top is dark but the cut is still white.
This is done by using a hard polisher such as the brown rubber polishers to smooth out the top surface ("mountains") without going down into the cuts ("valleys").
If you want to do the reverse and just polish the valleys without touching the mountain tops then you can use a Mini Rubber Silicone polisher (MSPM) in knife edge or wheel shape to follow the path of the "valleys" without touching the surrounding "mountain tops".
