The wine bottle featured in this picture was flattened in a kiln before having a hole drilled through the glass bottle by using one of Eternal Tools 8mm diamond core drills.

If you're slicing grooves or cutting segments out from your wine bottles then you might like to try a diamond slitting disc then bevel off the edges of your glass to remove any snags or sharp edges using a medium 400 grit diamond file.
